The Virginia Gay Hospital Health Care Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of a new board member, Marleen Patterson. Patterson has been an Atkins resident for the last thirty years. She and husband, David, have two sons and are pleased that both of them have chosen to stay in Atkins and raise their own families. Patterson retired from Rockwell Collins in 2008 with 35 years of manufacturing experience. She is a Benton County Master Gardener, a Benton County election official and a member of Tara Hills Country Club. “I’m looking forward to beginning working with the Foundation board in continuing to make healthcare in Benton County a major priority,” says Patterson. “I was excited when Stephanie Vogeler, PA-C moved her practice to Virginia Gay Hospital’s Atkins Family Medical Clinic. She had been my doctor for at least 20 years, and I think the addition of the practice in Atkins has been a positive boost for our community.” The Virginia Gay Hospital Health Care Foundation board provides leadership for carrying out the Foundation’s mission to continue health and medical care to people of the Virginia Gay Hospital service area. The Health Care Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the mission of Virginia Gay Hospital by transforming charitable donations into state-of-the-art medical equipment, facility updates, and special programs.
