Events and Activities : CP FRIENDS OF LIBRARY UNDERWEAR DRIVE UNDERWAY

You have been able to donate hats, mittens and socks to warm the hearts and other parts of people who need them this winter at the giving trees at the Center Point public library. Now Friends of the Library is sponsoring a “Captain Underpants” Giving Tree to fill the under looked need for underwear. The theme is based on the Dav Pilkey “Captain Underpants” kids’ book series begun in 1997. The public is invited to donate new packaged underwear for kids and adults at the Friends tree at the library through February. Get your gardening gung-ho going at free Master Gardener programs sponsored at the library by Friends this winter. Thursday, Feb. 21, at 6:30 will be “For the Love of Monarchs” by Carol Elliot. The third Thursday in March, March 21, at 6:30, will be Zora Ronan on “Starting Garden Transplants at Home.” In January Lisa Howard charmed gardeners and Friends with her “Cheap Tricks” about using flea market and found items for pots, practical helps and garden art.
