Eide Bailly LLP today released an audit report on the Benton County, Iowa for the year ended June 30, 2018.

Revenues for the County for the year ended June 30, 2018, totaled $21,325,447, a 1.22 % decrease from prior year. Revenue included $9,827,048 from property taxes, including state credits, $2,206,943 from charges for service, $6,084,344 from operating grants and contributions, $2,249,792 from capital grants and contributions, and $957,320 from other general revenues.

Expenses for County operations totaled $20,198,979, a 0.40% increase from the prior year. Expenses included $9,150,654 for roads and transportation, $4,436,178 for public safety and legal services, $1,098,162 for physical health and social services, and $1,778,728 for administration.
