Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 6:30 PM  – 8:30 PM
A FREE class is being held in Vinton offering education and tips to help save lives.
Question Persuade Refer (QPR) - 3 simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people train in CPR to help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone to help.
Ryan Nesbit, Co-Director for Alive & Running Iowa for Suicide Awareness and Prevention, has conducted training and presentations for over 200 audiences. He will train you how to ask the suicide question, persuade someone to get help and refer someone to help, along with sharing about his own suicide loss.
This is a 2-hour class at no charge (covered by a grant) open to anyone!
There is a second class being offered in Dysart if this day won't work, at the Dysart Community Building on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
