News : Sheriff's Office seeking your help to find the Location of a Person of Interest

The Benton County Sheriff's Department released the following press release this afternoon:

The Benton County Sheriff's Office has received a report of Animal Torture, involving allegations of torture to a cat.

An investigation has been opened and is ongoing into these allegations.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office has identified a person of interest, in this case, and is actively attempting to locate this person.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office asks that anyone having knowledge of the location of Chad Alan Toney, age 30, to contact the Benton County Sheriff's Office at 319-472-2337

The organization, Agape Fosters, has offered a $500 reward for the arrest and conviction of Toney in this case. Their post on Facebook states that they have a legal fund set up by Agape Fosters Director to help with legal funding and rewards in animal cases.
