Bucktown Americana Music & Friends in Garrison!
The Bucktown Americana Music Show will be in Garrison for a Sunday afternoon of 0ld Time, Bluegrass and Americana music. Based out of the Quad Cities area, they host a wonderful series of shows each year in Davenport. Highly entertaining and well worth the drive! Come join us as they bring their show to Garrison. Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's version of Mary Poppins will be arriving at the Vinton Palace Theatre courtesy of ACT I of Benton County. The show will be performed on August 3-6.Mary Poppins is a musical based on the stories of P.I. Travers and Walt Disney's film. This presentation is made possible by the kind donations of the L.J. Kirkland Trust and the City of Vinton Local Option Sales Tax administered by the Vinton Community Foundation and the 2022-23 GEMS who support these productions.

Mary Poppins plans to arrive at The Vinton Palace Theatre August 3-6

Painting Jane to be shown July 9 at the Vinton Palace
"Painting Jane." a movie by Katie O’Regan, is a movie filmed in parts of Portland, Los Angeles and in Iowa. The movie captures the story of a daughter who loses her parents to dementia and finds herself along the way. It is the story of one woman’s transformation into wholeness, acceptance and love. The film's creator O'Regan will be at the screening of the movie and will do a talkback after the movie. Cedar County Cobras in Garrison on Sunday, July 16th

The Anderegg Family will be in Garrison for a Sunday afternoon of bluegrass, gospel and old time classic country music on June 11th. The Andereggs make their home in northeast Iowa by the small town of Ryan. The band consists of Evan on guitar, Graham on banjo, Nathan of mandolin and bass, Jillian on fiddle, with parents Kipp on resonotic guitar and Susan on bass. Documentary about the Horridge House to Premiere in Vinton
612 1st Ave– Josh & Katie Hopkins of Benton County Historical Society Paranormal Tours and Lollman Paranormal (Dan, Cory and Tia Lollman) have completed the filming of the documentary House of 1859: Haunting of the Horridge House and have set the premiere to release in Vinton on August 5, 2023. The documentary was filmed and produced by Cory Lollman.
