Wesley United Methodist Church Food Pantry this Saturday
Wesley United Methodist Church will be holding its Food Pantry on Saturday, January 20, from 9-10:30 a.m. The church is located at 516 2nd Ave. (next door to the library) If you place a paper on your windshield the volunteers will deliver food to your cars this month. see photo. “CHOCOLATE LOVE” VALENTINE’S PARTY AT CENTER POINT MUSEUM SATURDAY FEB. 10
The Center Point Historical Society is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a free-to-the-public chocolate
festival party at the Depot Museum, 700 E. Washington St., from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, February 10.
The “Chocolate Love” party will have a chocolate fountain, a unique kissing booth, assorted chocolate
goodies, and a hot chocolate bar.
The 2024 Historical Society theme is natural history.

Youth will canoe, camp, cook outdoors, and learn wilderness skills on this two-night, three-day excursion! Participants will paddle their way around winding bends, rapids, scenic waterfalls, cold springs, and 200-foot chimney bluffs.

Vinton Public Library Red Carpet Fundraiser March 10th, 2024
Join us Sunday, March 10th, 2024 at 5 pm for a Red Carpet Fundraiser at the Vinton Public Library! We will have drinks, appetizers, and movie trivia, along with 2 large screen TVs airing the Academy Awards Red Carpet Arrivals! The event is open to patrons 21+, and we will be accepting free-will donations. We are also selling raffle tickets for a 2-hour limo ride prior to the event, thanks in part to our sponsor Express Limousine Service of North Liberty. Raising School Ready Readers Event Workshop Series begins on January 4th
Invest in your child's future! Learn fun ways to engage children in literacy play and turn everyday experiences into learning activities to help children be ready for school. Families participate together in hands-on activities that support early literacy skills in six areas.Adults and caregivers and children ages 3-6 are welcome!
