Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday on site.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

On Monday, July 14th, games of pepper cards were played. Irene Geiger won 1st place with 285 points. Geri Shaffer won 2nd place with 236 points. Patty McKenna and Bernadine Barr tied for 3rd place with 206 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, July 15th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Amanda Herron was the volunteer caller. Hazel Eastwood handpicked the games. Game one was a 9-Pack with Lorraine

Fix winning. Game two was Wild Number Three Bingos with Hazel Eastwood as the winner. Game three was Stair Steps with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game four was a Baseball with Greta Geiken, Geri Shaffer, and Oma Eckhart winning. Hazel Eastwood, Greta Geiken, Geri Shaffer and Lorraine Fix won game five with Blackout.

On Wednesday, July 16th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Linda Lough was the volunteer caller and handpicked the games. Game one was the Letter “X” with Mae Wilhelmi as the winner. Game two was a Check Mark with Viola Calvert as the winner. Game three was “I” and “G” Bingos with Greta Geiken winning. Game four was Horizontal Bingo with Greta Geiken winning. Mae Wilhelmi won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, July 17th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Marion Isbell handpicked the games. Game one was Wild Number Three Bingos with JoAnn Roster winning. Game two was Stair Steps with Norma Ellis and JoAnn Roster as the winners. Game three was Postage Stamps with May Pepin and Wanda McNutt as the winners. Game four was a Goal Post with JoAnn Roster winning. Greta Geiken won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, July 18th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. Marlys Finzen won 1st place with 3,600 points. Milo Cobb won 2nd place with 3,430 points. Wilma Loutsch won 3rd place with 3,080 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Monday, July 21st, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party with four tables played. Irene Geiger won first place with 219 points. Second place went to Greta Geiken with 209 points. Bill Milne won third place with 203 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, July 22nd, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Bob Hauser Music.

On Wednesday, July 23rd, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Mae Wilhelmi handpicked the games. Game one was a Picnic Table with Elsie Knaack winning. Game two was Wild Card Three Bingos with Mae Wilhelmi and Greta Geiken winning. Game three was a 9-Pack with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game four was the Letter “Y” with JoAnn Roster winning. Elsie Knaack won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, July 24th, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Riggle and Roster Music.

On Friday, July 25th, there were 4 tables of 500 cards played. Margaret Fuerher won 1st place with 4,140 points. Nellie Cobb won 2nd place with 4,090 points. Joanne Jones won 3rd place with 2,690 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP provided the beverages.
