As a quilter, you are always looking for someone or something to donate to. Recently a group of quilters and friends from Janesville, Wisconsin came across a need for port pillows.

I had no idea what these were or what they were used for. They are placed near a port that has been placed for chemo or dialysis treatment while wearing a seatbelt so it won't rub. It makes riding in a car a better experience.

They shared the pattern they were using with me, and I shared this pattern with a fellow quilter, who shared it with her mom. In a matter of a couple of days, she had 90 port pillows made and half of them stuffed! She sent me the pillows and I finished stuffing them and sewing them shut.

We would like to offer them to anyone that could use one. If you or someone you know could use one, please stop at Bobbins and Boards at 903 W 4th Street Vinton, Iowa. We would love to give you one!
