In February of 2014, the international organization Cargill made a $10,500 donation to the Vinton-Shellsburg Agriculture Department to go towards the building of our Animal Learning Lab this spring and summer.

The Cargill company has been financially supportive in our community and school district throughout our past and is continuing this as we enter into exciting new opportunities.

Representatives of Cargill say this particular donation was an easy decision for the company, as their mission is agriculture-based and ties directly with the objectives of the Animal Learning Lab.

Cargill demonstrates its strong commitment to agriculture through their support of the Animal Learning Lab, our high school ag program, and agricultural awareness in general. The Agriculture Department at Vinton-Shellsburg thanks Cargill for their support to our students' learning and for their help in providing opportunities for hands-on experiences to all the students in the department. A big thank you to Tom Stueck and Cargill for making this possible!
