News Vinton Guild of Fine Arts Welcomes the Community to their new Location

Gloria Orcutt, President of the Vinton Guild of Fine Arts cut the ribbon at the new location, alongside members of the Guild and Vinton Unlimited Members

The Vinton Guild of Fine Arts celebrated their new location with a ribbon cutting on Thursday evening. Vinton Unlimited members joined them at their open house to welcome the group.

The Guild has been part of the community, beautifying the area in so many ways. If you notice the corn statues, the brightly painted garbage cans in the parks, the murals on the walls downtown, or photo ready backgrounds tucked around town, those are all the work of the Art Guild.

The open house was well attended with more than 50 people at the begining of the evening.

The Guild will be offering an Oil Painting Workshop on class on Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Registration deadline: Wednesday, September 10

Deb Weiser of DKW Art Gallery in Marion, Iowa will be leading the class.

This class is focused on creating a beautiful landscape painting using a loose, expressive brush technique. Designed for beginners and anyone looking to explore a more relaxed, creative approach to painting, the workshop will guide you through the process step by step.

No prior painting experience is necessary!
