News : AmeriCorps Week Food Drive Being Held in Vinton

Starting this Saturday, May 8 and going through Saturday May 15, AmeriCorps NCCC members are collecting items for the Vinton Food Pantry in honor of AmeriCorps Week. Items that are most needed include: pasta, paper towels, cereal, toilet paper, crackers, and laundry soap. There will be a drop off box set up at Fareway starting on Saturday.

The Vinton Canned Food Drive is part of the fourth annual AmeriCorps Week that is taking place May 8-15. The week long event is to celebrate and recognize all AmeriCorps programs, members, alum, and program sponsors. One way that we want to celebrate the event is by giving back to the communities that we live in. Please help by bringing you donated item to Fareway throughout the week!
