Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Theresa Howards Maggie and Mason)
21 dogs and their owners came to show their support to shelter animals.
1st place went to Rodger Hawkins with his dog Sammy the frog. The howling trick that Sammy showed us won over the judges! Sammy was adopted from the shelter in 2011.
2nd place was Theresa Howard with Maggie and Mason dressed as a bride and groom. Both Mason and Maggie were adopted from FOTSI as well!
3rd place went to Jeff and Teresa Schadle with Sweet Pea and Cruizer dressed as a devil and pumpkin. They also had a 4 week old kitten dressed as a princess (see picture with Barb Holmes)
Special thank you to Cedar Run Pet Boarding and Daycare in Hiawatha and Frickson Animal Salon in Vinton for donating prizes for our top three winners! Also thank you to the 3 VGH Nursing and Rehab residents who were our judges today (Barb Holmes, Margaret Henry, and Bernard Freese), they did a great job and we couldn't have done it without them.
For those that were unable to make it this year, watch for information next year as we hope to do this again next Halloween!
