URBANA:

Barbara Ann Trask, 61, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at her residence following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton with Pastor Mike Ferguson officiating. Interment will be held at the Urbana Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. A Memorial Fund has been established.

Barbara was born March 9, 1955 in Cedar Rapids to Ralph Edgar and Lorena “Fern” (Cress) Karr and graduated from the Urbana High School.

She married Mike Trask at the Little Brown Church in Nashua and the couple enjoyed camping and fishing together. Barbara also loved time spent with family and friends.

Barbara was employed as a Custodian at the Center Point-Urbana Schools.

She is survived by her husband, Mike of Urbana; her son, James (Katelynn) Kuhn of Urbana; her daughters, Shalean Kuhn of Urbana, and Sandy Kuhn of Davenport; her mother, Lorena “Fern” Karr of Center Point; her step-sons, Nicholas Trask and Erik (Cassie) Trask all of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, William Janzen and Karly Kuhn; eight step-grandchildren; her brothers, David and Ron Karr; her sisters, Helen Karr, Cathy Vincent, and Linda Horne; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; her brother, Warren; and her sister, Lynette.
