Letter to the Editor: Something to ponder

Dear Editor,

Here's something to ponder. In June, Trump led Biden in Iowa by 50%-32%, September, Harris had closed the gap to 47% Trump-43% Harris. The last Iowa poll now has Harris leading Trump by 47% to 43%. This is not a junk poll but the highly regarded Selzer poll. The momentum has shifted. Take a look.

The Des Moines Register is of the same class. Until people start looking at alternative news sources besides the mainstream media, they will continue to believe what the liberal media tells them what someone said, not what actually was said. DL November 4, 2024, 3:00 pm PK, Your hatefulness is gross. One poll does not make an election clear. But, we're talking about the most respected state pollster in our country. So, that gives it a fair amount of legitimacy. Whether it's accurate or not, we'll find out tomorrow. If Harris wins Iowa, I'll be very happy. I think I can speak for Rosemary, that she will be too.

RB November 4, 2024, 2:57 pm It is laughable to hear a response that Kamala Harris doesn't have the brains to run this country. You must think Trump does have the brains? Why has he threatened to sue if his high school and college transcripts are released? He is not even close to the intelligence that Kamala possesses. My guess is you are saying that because she is a non-white woman and we know women can't possible be in a position of leadership! I can hardly get past "they are eating the cats and dogs!" The other letter regarding free and fair. First, Trump is responsible for taking away freedoms with more to follow if elected. Next, yes he is that objectionable. Five children with three wives while paying a porn star hush money. 92 felony indictments (by a grand jury of his peers and not the Biden administration) and 34 unanimous convictions (by a jury of his peers). He is a sexual assaulter and a tax fraud. He couldn't work at any of the schools I served because he couldn't pass a background check. He couldn't even enter a school building because he would be on a sex offender list. Yet, he is the Republican candidate for President of the United States. One can't serve in the military, as a convicted felon, but can be commander-in-chief? Let all of that sink in! If one votes for Trump it says as much about their character as his. The standards of morality has gone down the poop tube.

PK November 3, 2024, 9:47 am RS...One poll does NOT a WINNER make. Someone important said that once. I can guarantee that if Harris wins, you supporters will be VERY UNHAPPY!!! Obama will have to jump in to help. [I think he's served almost THREE terms now; hasn't he?????] He kept Biden a float most of his term!!! You're going to learn that this women does NOT have the brains or the talent to run this country!!!!! SORRY!!!!!
