Letter to the Editor: I had to do it…

Dear Editor,

I knew I would get comments with my letter but some of have outdone yourselves. SG what is your many posts about-it does not make you any more effective sending in so many-it actually does the opposite. Kinda of bored, are you?

Valerie, what are you talking about another woman being as you say "murdered." As a so-called journalist you know that you cannot make vague accusations without explaining what you are talking about. Please provide verification.

Also, Trump was held liable for sexual assault and defamation of the victim at the tune of $83 million.

Have to correct Dave again, (who doesn't believe in any fact checking). Dave insists that Trump has been the first President to go to California and pay attention to them. I do not know what news he is following but if he was paying any attention, he would know that President Biden immediately came to aid of the LA fires. While Trump was insisting that there is a giant spigot in northern California that Governor Newsom refuses to open up, insulting government officials, blaming Newsom for an 18-month drought and over 100 mph winds that is the real reason the fire has plagued the area.

Here are three articles about Biden's immediate efforts including promising that the feds will pay 100% of the clean-up costs for the area and he did not put conditions on that promise because unlike Trump, the Biden Administration actually cares about the people not play politics with their lives.

The comments from John and Gerald are the usual nonsense and not worth commenting on although I had to challenge John's hypocrisy. BTW, these comments about Trump being in my head, let me say this. Because Trump provides so much material to work with, I plan to showcase the most egregious because I pay attention and seek out the truth not believe every nonsense thing Trump says. Maybe if more of you did the same the rest of us would not have to pay for this 4-year debacle.

VC January 27, 2025, 2:32 am Roseanne Boyland is the second woman killed on J6. There are two versions out there that I’ve seen on her death. MSN said she was crushed by the crowd. Those nearby say she was hit in the face with a teargas cannon and there is footage out there of her unconscious on the steps being beaten by a female officer, then dragged inside.
Of course no one has heard of her…she doesn’t fit the narrative.

I did my own research trying to verify your claim. In your response, you indicated that there were two explanations of the cause of her death.

According to the professional Medical Examiner, the autopsy found that she died of an accidental “acute amphetamine injection”. Why did you not include that information? Because it doesn’t fit YOUR narrative?

This example is a microcosm of what is wrong with our current public discourse. Here there are two possible outcomes, one taken from the internet purporting a conspiracy or the report from a medical professional. Half of this country will put more weight on a conspiracy theory with no verification rather than believe the expertise of a medical professional.

I am not going to speculate what really happened because I don’t know, neither do you Valerie, but I will take the word of a medical professional over a Maga conspiracy any day.

What is more bothersome in regards to you, is your claim to be a “professional” journalist and editor of an online newspaper. Anyone responding to this opinion page can write any wacko thing they want and do, but you as a “journalist” are set to a higher standard to report the news, presenting all aspects of the story, and not put your personal opinion into the end product.

The first comment you made was a vague conspiracy theory without any pertinent information, just an opportunity to claim YOUR narrative as fact. Even in your follow-up answer here, you admit there were two explanations what may have caused her death, but only mentioned the one that fit YOUR narrative. Instead of rising to journalistic standards you chose and claim, you deliberately left out half the story to make YOUR narrative plausible. You did not provide any verification or documentation of the story just an internet conspiracy theory. This is the height of dis-information. If you are going to claim yourself as a “journalist” then you should operate on a higher standard or not make that claim at all.

There is another aspect to this story. For years Republicans have espoused personal responsibility as a virtue we all should aspire. The fact of the matter if the conspiracy theory is correct, Ms. Boyland could be alive today had she not placed herself in the middle of a riot. Does that mean that is true, she deserved to die? No. Unlike the police officers who were just doing their job trying to protect the Capital, Ms. Boyland deliberately went to the Capital and according to the story was close enough to be in “dragged inside” which means she was part of the mayhem, who knows what proceeded the alleged event.

Valerie, please think about what you want to aspire to, a blogger so can write anaything you want to be able to spread conspiracy theories and dis-information or a real professional journalist with high ethical standards who presents the entire story and lets the reader decide on their own. You cannot claim professionalism while spreading your own agenda and conspiracies.

I'd never heard of this other lady who died until Valerie mentioned her, and neither had you. Yet you claim to be the smart one here with all of your "research." Real research would have turned over this other lady, but you didn't. I think you might just be angry that you were called out. Now I question the drug part. When someone like this isn't even mentioned, and made a spectacle, I tend to believe that we aren't getting the whole story. Why wasn't she a headline for causing havoc? She wasn't. Why? Seems sus.

RS January 28, 2025, 3:32 pm SG-First I knew that there were some deaths from the illegal crowd but until Valerie made an issue about a woman murdered, true, I did not research this claim. But when I did do the research, I quickly found the medical examiner’s report and after I read Valerie’s response again, I realized that she did not do any research only repeated Maga conspiracy theories on 2 possibilities. She was not even aware that there was a medical examiners report. I probably would have looked that closely until Valerie gave it away when she stated that she now thinks there were 3 stories. Thanks, Valerie for pointing your incompetence.

I also stated that I was not going to speculate what may have happened because I did not know. But I see that you apparently now think you know enough to claim some conspiracy here. Could it be that the reason the public has not heard much about this case that her death was really about an overdose and not that newsworthy?

What exactly have I been called out for? Telling the truth? I really think you should answer your own question, why are you responding?

John says it is his 1st Amendment right the say what he wants to but apparently the 1st amendment does not apply to me or others in opposition.
