The Shellsburg American Legion Saturday morning breakfast is held each Saturday morning. Bingo at the Shellsburg Legion on March 18 6-8 p.m.

The Shellsburg Lions will hold Bingo at the Legion on Saturday, March 18th, from 6 until 8:00 p.m.The Legion will have food available. The Blackout is guaranteed to be $50. Come have some fun, win a bingo and celebrate other activities. For questions call 319-389-2682.

Wesley United Methodist Church will hold its food pantry on Saturday, March 18 from 10-11 a.m.The church is located next to the church at 515 2nd Ave. in Vinton. Bring bags or boxes for your groceries!

American Legion to hold Tenderloin Dinner March 10

On Friday, March 10 there will be a Tenderloin Dinner at the American Legion George G Luckey Post 57 from 5–7:00 p.m. The post is located at 105 N. R Ave. in Vinton. Cost for the meal is $15 and includes a Tenderloin, French Fries, Cole Slaw and a Dessert. The Legion is located at 105 N. R Ave. in Vinton.

Vinton Parks and Recreation doesn't just serve the kids, they also create activities for seniors ages 55 and older. There are poker walks, card games, and cribbage. Mom's Night Out-March 16

We all need to hear this some days. On Thursday, March 16 at 7 pm at the Vinton Palace Theatre all moms are welcome to attend for a night of empowering moms. PS it’s free!An event for all moms! Iowa Governor's Stem Council Annual ECI STEM Festival March 26

Belle Plaine wil be hosting the annual ECI STEM Festival on March 26th.  It is one of 62 STEM Festivals funded through the Iowa Governor's STEM Council across the state.  The following School Districts are invited to attend!Belle PlaineBenton CommunityCentral LutheranEnglish ValleysHLV Iowa ValleyVinton-Shellsburg Williamsburg. Pre-registration is encouraged (Just use your phone on the QR code in the flyer!) Mother Son Nerf Wars March 25

Dividing the ages into two groups, mothers and sons can battle it out at the Vinton Skate Center during the Mother-Son Nerf Wars. Saturday, March 25, Kindergarten through 2nd grade can bring their moms along to have a fun time from 2:30-4:00 p.m.The young men in 3rd grade through 5th grade can arrive at 4:30 p.m. and the fun ends at 6:00 p.m.The fee is $30 per couple.
