Events and Activities Vision Dysart's Summer Music on Main Returns July 16

It's another great evening of live music in the Pocket Park! Not Half Bad Band will perform on Thursday, July 16, at 7:00 PM. Bring a lawn chair, gather your friends, and enjoy a relaxing summer evening of music in downtown Dysart!

"Not Half Bad Quartet" has been performing together for over 40 years! Many area residents have been entertained by them over the years. They are known for sharing their rendition of "Holy Bible: The Old and New Testaments" by the Statler Brothers in many area churches.

Making up the group are John Thiele, Greg Jans, Mary Ann Whelchel, Walter Brandt, Tom Brandt. Mary Ann Whelchel has accompanied the group for about five years, and has an extended history teaching music. She resides in Vinton and frequently plays piano for Sunday services at Dysart United Methodist Church, as well as other area churches. A fun fact. Walter Brandt and Tom Brandt are cousins and sing alongside John Thiele and Greg Jans who is a former member of the band 'Redline.'
