Events and Activities Insurance Series with Wilson-Hite Insurance

Join us as at the library for an informational presentation from Wilson Hite Insurance.

Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, 10am: Personal Insurance - Home, Auto, Umbrella and Powered Vehicles. The series opens with a look at the everyday policies most households rely on. Topics include how home and auto coverage actually work, when an umbrella policy is worth adding extra liability protection, and what's involved in insuring motorcycles, ATVs, and other powered vehicles. This session is a good starting point for anyone wanting a clearer picture of their existing coverage or shopping for new policies.
Thursday, September 10th, 2026, 10am: Health Insurance - Medicare, Medicare Advantage and the ACA Marketplace. The second week turns to health coverage, breaking down the differences between traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans, along with how the ACA Marketplace works for those who don't get insurance through an employer. This session is especially useful for people nearing Medicare eligibility or navigating a change in health coverage.

Thursday, September 17th, 2026, 10am: Flood and Disaster Coverage - What your Homeowners Policy Doesn't Cover. The series closes with a session on gaps many homeowners don't realize exist in their standard policies, including flood and other disaster-related damage. Attendees will learn what's typically excluded from homeowners insurance and what additional coverage may be needed to fully protect their property.
