Government Reisetter chosen to replace Wulf as Candidate for House District 76

Because Derek Wulf was chosen to run for Lieutenant Governor on the ticket with Zach Lahn, Republicans have nominated Matt Reisetter (pronounced Ree-ster), a member of the Hudson City Council, to run to fill the Iowa House District 76 seat .

Iowa law only allows candidates to run for one office at a time. Iowa House District 76 includes Mt. Auburn, Traer, La Porte City, portions of Hudson, Evansdale, Cedar Falls and Waterloo.

Reisetter is the head girls basketball coach at Waterloo Christian High School, director of the Cedar Falls Bible Conference, and co-owner of Crossroads Fireworks in Waterloo. He ran for the Iowa Senate in 2012, and is also a member of the Hudson City Council where he has served since 2016.
