    • As we finish out 2026, I’d also love for everyone to start thinking about 2027.

    • What can we continue doing?
What would you like to see us do more of?
Are there events or groups we should connect with?
Are there new ways we can educate, raise awareness, decrease stigma, and support our community?

    • Our coalition has grown because of the time, ideas, experiences, and heart that each of you brings. I’m excited to keep building on that together in 2027 and finding meaningful ways to continue supporting our mission throughout Benton County.

    • Please bring your ideas to our December meeting/potluck, or send them my way anytime!

Looking Ahead to 2027 — Board & Leadership

BCSPC Directors & Officers: Tenure

As we start thinking about 2027, I also want us to begin looking ahead at our board and leadership positions.

Our bylaws call for officers to be elected by the Board of Directors in January during the year their term expires, and directors serve two-year terms.

For January 2027, we have:

  • Chairperson — Holly Ollinger: term ending January 2027

  • Board of Directors — Jennifer Losenicky: term ending January 2027

  • Vice-Chairperson: currently vacant

For those whose terms are ending, the current person can certainly be considered for reappointment if they would like to continue. We can also consider other nominations.

Our Nominating Committee, which consists of the Chairperson and at least one other board member, will work through the nomination process before the January Board election.

So between now and our January meeting, I'd encourage everyone to start thinking about:

  • Would you like to continue serving in your current role?

  • Would you be interested in serving in another leadership role?

  • Is there someone within our coalition who you think would be interested in serving on the Board?

  • Would you be interested in the Vice-Chairperson position?

The goal is to make sure we have a strong leadership team moving into 2027 and that we're giving people an opportunity to step up, serve, and bring their ideas to the coalition.

We'll talk more about this at our December meeting and then formally address the elections in January according to our bylaws.

I'm really excited about where this coalition is headed and about continuing to build on the work we've done together.
