Virginia Gay Home Health staff had a wonderful time celebrating two of their Home Care Clients who had the amazing opportunity of being included on the April 19th, 2022, Eastern Iowa Honor Flight. The two spent the day in Washington DC, touring all the Military Memorials. They had a well-deserved day of being acknowledged for the Heroes they are, having fought for our Freedom.

Six staff and four of our family members went to the Eastern Iowa Airport to welcome home 89 Veterans, 1-WW II veteran, 2 Korean War veterans, and 86 Vietnam veterans, including one female! We made special signs for our clients and handed out a red, white, and blue flower bouquet to all the Veterans as they proceeded through the airport.

The evening was filled with excitement and emotion as we saw 89 very proud Veterans walk through the airport to be celebrated. We are so happy we got to share the evening with 2 very special men, an Army veteran, and an Air Force veteran, who are part of our VHG Home Health family.
