News Frazier receives Benton County Legionnaire of the Year Award

At the July 28, 2026, monthly meeting of the Benton County American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary, Dave Frazier, Commander of the Thomas F. Bevins Post 148 of the Van Horne American Legion, was presented with the Benton County Legionnaire of the Year Award.

Benton County American Legion members are nominated each year for this award by other members in the county. A committee from the Benton County American Legion selects one nominee from these candidates and presents them with the award. Frazier has dedicatedmany hours of his time in serving with the American Legion.

The award was presented in the newly re-modeled American Legion Hall in Van Horne.

The next Benton County American Legion and Benton County American Legion Auxiliary meeting will be held on Tuesday August 25th at the MJ Kirby Post 170 American Legion Hall in Blairstown. The address is 102 Benton St. NE.

The meal is served at 6:00 with the business meetings starting at 7:00. All Legion members and Auxiliary members from the Benton County Posts are encouraged to attend.
