Gaynelle Ruth (Kutchanek) Van Gampleare, 96, of Belle Plaine, Iowa, passed away on June 13, 2026 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2026 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Belle Plaine with visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Saint Michael’s Catholic Church. 

Gaynelle was born on September 10, 1929, the daughter of George and Ollie (Loffler) Kutchanek. She graduated from Chelsea High School with the Class of 1946. Following her graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper for Norell and Henry Implement in Chelsea.

On August 20, 1949, Gaynelle was united in marriage to Gene Van Gampleare at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chelsea. Together, they farmed for several years before making their home in Belle Plaine in 1956. Gaynelle enjoyed a successful career as an Avon representative, serving customers and building friendships for more than 50 years.

Gaynelle was a devoted member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary. She generously volunteered at the VA Hospital in Iowa City for 35 years and also gave her time to the Belle Plaine Care Center and the Benton County Volunteers, logging over 10,000 hours.

An avid bowler, Gaynelle found great enjoyment in the sport and proudly bowled on the same team for more than 50 years, forming many lasting friendships along the way.

Gaynelle is survived by her nieces Cherie Roberts, Kathy (Rick) White, Connie (Jim) Anderson, Colleen Balvin and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; and her siblings.
