After the season-opening special was washed out three consecutive weeks, officials at Benton County Speedway are hopeful the start of the IMCA weekly racing points season helps change Mother Nature ¢â‚¬â„¢s tune this Sunday.
Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts are slated to start their season points battles Sunday, May 21, along with the INEX Legends and a special appearance by the American Iron Racing Series (A.I.R.S.).
All divisions will be draw/redraw.
Kids power wheel races will also be part of opening night festivities, along with grandstand bingo which starts at 4 p.m.
Both pits and grandstand open at 3:30 p.m. May 21, with hot laps scheduled for 5:30 and racing at 6.
Grandstand admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors and veterans, and $5 for ages 6-14. Those ages five and under are admitted free if accompanying a paid adult.
Pit passes are $30. Pit passes for those under age 14 are $15.
