ATKINS:  Donald George Krug, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 17, 2018 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, Iowa. Don was born December 22, 1931 on the Krug Heritage family farm near Atkins, Iowa to George and Emma (Daleske) Krug. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in rural Atkins, and graduated from Atkins High School in 1949. Elmer P. “Doc” Miller Doc was born in Thomas, Oklahoma on March 4, 1927 to Annie Gingerich Miller and Criss J. Miller.  After a brief battle with cancer, he passed away at age 91 with his family at his side on April 3, 2018. Doc attended country schools in Oklahoma and Iowa.  He was raised Old Order Amish and later, Mennonite.
