The third and final performance of the ACT 1 Holiday Variety Show took place on Sunday afternoon on the Palace Theatre stage. The performances included holiday favorites from “Mary Did You Know?” to Hawaiian greetings and the Grinch. There was even a reading of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” in German, by VS Middle School teacher Alex Vasquez, who said that German is the second-best language for reading that famous holiday classic by Dr. Seuss.
The Cooling Dancers also took turns on the stage.
ACT (Area Community Theatre) 1 is preparing its show schedule for the next few months, which include “Caught in the Net,” a comedy about a man who secretly has two families and tries to maintain that secret. Later come “Broadway at the Palace” in May and “The Burnt Part Boys” in June.
ACT 1 is constantly welcoming new talent, from performers to stage hands and other volunteers for every part of a community theatre show. Newcomers are always welcome, along with those who have been involved in previous productions.
