Boomtown, presented by Veridian Credit Union, is set to light up the sky for the 12th annual celebration on Saturday evening, August 25, 2018, at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Vinton, Iowa. Boom-fest will take place in Downtown Vinton starting at 10am, with gates at the fairgrounds opening at 4pm.

Slap ’N Tickle will take stage at 6pm near the Beer Tent, rocking the crowd with favorite hits from the ‘80s. Slap ’N Tickle’s bombastic rhythm section, their blazing guitar solos, and their soaring vocals is something truly to behold, a party like no other!

When the sun starts to set, exhibition shells made by members of the Iowa Pyrotechnic Association will set the stage for the Junior Pyro show and the Grand Public Display. The Junior Pyro show has been compared to the likeness of many small-town July 4th shows – and its all done by Junior Members of the IPA! The Grand Public Display follows, and will leave you speechless. From thunderous booms to blinding fireballs – its the show you do not want to miss.

Rock out with your friends and family during an encore performance by Slap ’N Tickle after the big show.

Boomtown shirts and sweatshirts will be available to purchase the night of the event, with a new online store offering a wider selection. Online orders will be accepted until July 27th and can be shipped or picked up at the Vinton Unlimited office after August 10th.

Parking at the fairgrounds is $10 per vehicle. Grandstand seating is $10 per person, all ages. Lawn seating is free. Reserved group seating is available in groups of 11 or 22 seats, additional information is available online. No coolers will be allowed per venue rules.
