An hour can teach a lesson on the background of the famous Lewis and Clark journey. An hour can write a two-page paper with minimal research. An hour can plant a row in a garden and do a small load of laundry. An hour can provide enough time to do a kid’s craft and spend the rest of the time cleaning said kid’s craft up. An hour holds every opportunity to make a change. And maybe, with all the hope in the world, an hour can save a life.

Organizers of the Mobile Food Pantry at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vinton, Iowa is looking for volunteers to donate and hand out food on the third Sunday of every month from 10 to 11 a.m., to 40 to 50 families. To volunteer, or for more information, call Erin Monaghan at 319.241.1817.

Take an hour out of your day and find food to donate, look for deals to share, and come and serve with us.

Make every hour count and invest in the promise that every person counts, too.
