The woman who began the project hopes to remain anonymous, but says she is happy to see so many participate.
“I think it’s a great idea,” says Becca Ingham, whose children are among the most recent to paint rocks to add to the effort.
Participating is simple; just wander around Vinton, looking for uniquely painted rocks. After you find them, take a photo, if you wish, to share on Facebook and then hide them again.
