Vinton-Shellsburg High School students chose Katie Noren as their 2018 Homecoming Queen and Alex Pladsen as King. Last year’s King and Queen, Cole Tharp and Maddie Moen, crowned the new King and Queen during the pep rally on Thursday.

Also on Thursday, VSHS and VS Middle School band members joined the Top 5 King and Queen candidates and Grand Marshals Terry Ehlinger and Mel Davis of Ehlingher’s 66 Vinton Express and many others in the Homecoming Parade.

After the coronation, the senior and junior girls faced off in the annual Powder Puff football game.
