After five years of research, including the collection of photos and materials, the book The History of Luzerne is completed. There are two hundred pages containing information about Luzerne’s rich history and over three hundred photos of the community of Luzerne. Included are chapters on historic news articles, plus histories of former businesses, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, parochial and public schools, pictures of those who have served or currently are serving in the military, and the founding of the city. The book also contains over one hundred biographies of residents past and present, submitted by family members and others. The book will be eight and one half by eleven inches, with a thick metal binding and thick glossy cover.
The price of the book is $25.00, if the buyer plans to pick it up locally. Otherwise, an additional $5.00 is required for shipping anywhere in the United States.
The book is now being prepared to be sent to the publisher, however, presales are required to pay for the printing costs. The book cannot go to the publisher until the printing cost is covered, so please order now.
