People who ordered a “Vinton Strong” shirt to honor firefighters and other first responders for their work during last month’s downton fire, can now pick up those shirts at Tharp’s Design, says Student Senate Advisor Rachelle Rammelsberg.
The students will be presenting the proceeds of those T-shirt sales to nine different first responder organizations at 2:45 Tuesday at the high school.
Several people have already begun wearing their shirts, including the staff at Clingman Pharmacy, which shared a photo on Facebook with a message that reads: “We honor all of our fire fighters and other first responders. A great deal has changed for us as well as all businesses affected, customers of those businesses and the entire community. We have all learned to scramble and adapt to life anew at new business locations and we have survived. The entire community has been incredible during these few weeks of adjustments and we thank you all again for everything! We look forward to serving everyone at the new Clingman Pharmacy.”
