NEWHALL: Beulah “Bea” Becker, 83, died Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Rockridge Residential Care Center in Shellsburg following an extended illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2016 at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone with Pastor Mike Ferguson officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home in Keystone.
Beulah Marie Becker was born May 10, 1933 at Masonville to Edward and Helen (Main) Chambers and graduated from the Manchester High School.
She married Dean Becker and they owned and operated Newhall Bowlium and later moved to Meservey where they owned a bar. “Bea” enjoyed fishing, reading, and golfing. Her greatest pleasure came from music.
She is survived by her son, Curt Becker of Newhall; her grandchildren, Doug and Shallen Becker of Newhall; her sister-in-law, Irene Furler of Newhall and her brother-in-law, Floyd Ondler of Cedar Rapids.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dean, she was preceded in death by her son Kevin Becker in 2014; her sister, Mary Ondler; and her brother, Harold “Red” Chambers.
