Independence had the magic number with four of their team shooting in the 40s. V-S was close and
had consistent efforts from our golfers. Brandi Gerber was our team medalist and earned a 9th place medal due to card back. Emily Blake finished just out of the top ten. Our putting was a bright spot; Alex Maynard had only 15. Ms Blake and Ms Engler both had 16. We need to eliminate penalty strokes and work to improve our approach shots. I felt there were more positives than negatives this day, but we will continue to work to improve.
Next up: WAMAC Super Meet with 15 teams. It’s an 18 hole tournament V-S is hosting Monday, May 8 at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg starting at 9 am.
