Doors open at 6 pm, dinner is at 6:30, and the show starts at 7:15. Comedian, Doug Thompson returns to Vinton for a night full of humor - sure to make you Laugh Out Loud! Bob Black & Banjoy with fiddler Joy Ward at Farmer's Mercantile Hall March 13

Bob Black & Banjoy, will be at Farmers Mercantile Hall in Garrison, IA Sunday, March 13th for an early St. Patrick's Day Show. They will be joined by guest fiddler Joy Ward. Come hear some delightful Irish, bluegrass and midwestern roots music!Refreshments for a freewill donation will be provided by the Garrison Library.Admission $10 (kids free)Farmers Mercantile Hall is located at 100 W Main St.

Valentine Ragtime Piano Program Saturday Feb. 12 at 10:00 am

If you enjoy ragtime music, be sure to visit the Vinton Public Library on Saturday, February 12 at 10:00 a.m.Children's librarian, Colton Neely will be performing Valentine pieces for the public's enjoyment.

Cabaret program Friday, March 4

On Friday, March 4th at 7 pm in the high school auditorium, join the high school Bands and Choirs for a long-awaited night of pop, show tunes, special acts, and more! This special concert hasn't been held in THREE years! Due to the pandemic, our last day of in-person school in 2020 was the same day as this concert, which had to be canceled that very morning.

Old Creamery Theatre Closes its doors after 50 years

If you attended school in Vinton in the 70s, you know that the highlight of the year happened when the Old Creamery Theatre came to school. You knew that it was going to be funny, and that there would be laughs. Another victim of the pandemic is the Old Creamery Theatre. The longest-running professional theater company will be closing its doors.

Vinton Palace is back up and running!

Be sure to get the Palace back on your schedule this weekend! A new server has been installed which means they will be showing the movie, "Encanto" will be shown this weekend!Please note: There will not be a matinee this Saturday, but there will be a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday. An encore weekend of American Underdog is scheduled for the weekend of the 18th.

Palace Theatre Temporarily Closed

Due to a digital server crash this past Sunday, the Vinton Palace Theatre will be temporarily closed. Unfortunately, there will be no movie showings this weekend. The Palace regrets any inconvenience. 

Vinton Palace Theatre will offer Movie Afternoons this week!

This weekend we have Sing 2, but have you planned for next week?! We are excited to present Movie Afternoons over break! Free will donation and the concessions stand will be open! Vinton-Shellsburg Performs Holiday Choral Extravaganza

Vinton Shellsburg Middle School and High School students entertained friends and family on Thursday night. Directors Eric Tabaka and Michala Martin directed the choirs. Students from 6th through 12 grade performed several Christmas selections.The 6th Grade Choir was made up of the following students: Jackie Baldridge, Rylee Boggess, Maddison Bunten, Kaylee Cantrell, Libby Condry, Aden Dawson-Fink, Oliviah Doty, Jax Elwick, Taven Embry-Gerard, Katelyn Fleming, Faith Kies, Nakota McDaniel, Addyson McGlothlin, Jenna Rippel, Axel Rodman, Johnathan Rogers, Emersyn Svoboda, Zach Ternus, Jordon Tucker, Lauren Voss, Colby Walker, Kieran Wiest-Clark.

No Horsin' Around and The Great Gift Tag Goof-up at the Palace this weekend!

Stop at the Palace Theatre and enjoy the performance of the area children 23 children will be performing two shows this weekend at the Vinton Palace Theatre.
