The Festival of Trees will showcase the artistic talents of area businesses, organizations, and families through the trees they decorated for this event. Visitors to the festival can bring coins to vote on their favorite tree, bid on trees up for auction, or just admire the creativity. They can get a chance at one of the many door prizes and enjoy free coffee or hot apple cider. They can purchase baked goods as well. And admission is free.

The festival takes place at the Hope Lodge 175-805 11th Street--in Belle Plaine on November 24, 2pm - 7pm, and November 25, 9am - 8pm. The event is sponsored by the Wallace and Beverly Winkie Foundation, and all proceeds from the event will be used for scholarships for nontraditional students. More information is available on the foundation's website and Facebook page.
