Events and Activities : TAKE A CHANCE on the Costa Rica Fundraiser!

A group of 10 Vinton-Shellsburg students and two VS graduates are headed to Costa Rica for a Spanish Trip for 10 days in June.  These students have worked hard to pay for their trips to Costa Rica and are looking forward to spending time at a volcanic site, beach, ziplining through a Jungle, as well as visiting a coffee farm, having a meal with families from Costa Rica and learning about their culture. The students recently found out that they will be responsible for an additional amount of money to cover the cost of tips for the bus drivers, tour guides, and hosts, this was not included in their trip package.  The students are offering the chance to buy a ticket for a MAY DAY RAFFLE.   There are SIX baskets which you can purchase tickets for at $5 each.  

Basket 1-  Child's basket  - items include- sand pail/shovel, plastic ball and bat, water gun, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, modeling clay, tickets to the Palace Theater, jump rope, coloring book, splash catchers, and a Pin Wheel.  

Basket 2- College basket  (invited to a graduation?  Have a child in college?)  items include-  powerstrips, hangars, mini waffle maker, towel and washcloth, chip clips, plates,bowls, cups,notebooks, portfolio, pens, $25 Casey's Gift card, cookies, and potpourri

Basket 3- Bella's Cake Balls- a ONE year subscription with 12 cake balls each month.

Basket 4- Farmasi beauty basket valued at $100

Basket 5- Beauty Basket from FIx Salon valued at $190

Basket 6-  GRAND PRIZE Basket-  men's supplies & gift card from Fix Salon valued at $90, American Welcome Sign, towel set, overnight bag, metal detox shampoo & mask, candle, cookies, chip clip, ice cream scoop, rain gauge, vegetable peeler, scissors, $25 Casey's gift card, Palace Theater Tickets, $25 Kwik Star gift card, Pizza Ranch Buffet tickets, and Iowa Bracelet.    ($300 value

The drawing will be held on April 29 so you have time to give your basket for May Day.
