Thinking that because of a holiday, snowstorm, etc, there really wouldn't be much to put out, but apparently, I was wrong. In addition to the lengthy email, a "bonus" email went out over the weekend with important information. Best of all, we're all here to read it.

It looks like it will still remain cold, I mean frigid for a few more days, so continue to stay safe and warm. Don't take unnecessary risks that might result in a 911 call. Those who respond to 911 calls are only human too. They can't do more than you can.

It's weeks like this that we appreciate our road crews. The ones that put the real work into snow removal. Just looking at the photos that were sent in, it's amazing the ability to carve out a road in some of these locations!

Finally, caucus season will be over after tonight. I don't put a lot of stock into it make a huge difference to the front runner. On the Democratic side of the ticket of course it will Joe Biden. On the Republican side, I find it funny that Chris Christy dropped out just a few days before the caucus. I suspect he didn't want to see his "real" popularity in number form.

I'm not sure if former President Trump will pull off a win here. I suspect that he might. I think that Nikki Haley comes across as the "kinder and gentler" version that will be able to pull in Republicans who absolutely cannot stand Trump.

I don't think it has anything to do with her "DeSantis Lies" website that she plugged 16 times in her last debate. I mean, seriously. It feels a bit like elementary school. To answer her website, Rand Paul put up his own called "Never Nikki." with all the reasons that she shouldn't be elected. So if nothing else, we have everyone in the schoolyard pointing fingers and tattling about who is the worst.

Ron DeSantis. The governor of Florida. Running his state so well that Trump wanted to live there, and Hollywood wanted to be there during the lockdowns. Politicians love it there. Those reasons alone should be enough to give him a second place to Trump. The downside is that he doesn't seem to have the personality to campaign. At least that was my impression from his stop in Vinton. He didn't seem like a people person. He might have a case for not campaigning and just send out Casey his wife. She's a different story. She's someone I'd probably vote for just on her likeability.

Oh, I forgot about my least favorite in the top four. Vivek Ramaswamey. The youngest in the bunch seems to annoy me even more the longer he's in the race. He's like a yipping Chihuahua. Constantly making noise, but not really saying anything. He's all for Trump, because he's gunning for that VP position even though he says he isn't. Rich enough to dump stock to bring another 33 million into his campaign. Another reason that I don't think he's the man for the job. Call me biased. But I tend to think that anyone that has that kind of money, yet needs to keep putting his own money into the pot (No Hunter, it's a different kind of pot...).

He doesn't have enough steam to get to the finish line. His talking points are pretty non-existent. Oh, he talks, and talks, and talks, and talks, and says absolutely nothing. I mean I might be waaay off on what I think of this guy, but I don't think so.

Either way, I don't particularly care who wins. All I know is that I can't afford another term of Joe Biden. It's as simple as that. I've always had an eye on the bank balance, and the last three years has been a killer of a year for Bidenomics. Hey, he wants credit for my grocery bill tripling, and gas doubling, so I'll give it to him. You go, Joe!

So the final day of caucus season until 2027. It is fun to see everyone come to the area, and meet all the candidates. It's fun to weed them out and see what your instincts say. But it's also fun to see them all leave!

Good riddance, farewell! Back to normal life.

Well, the life that has become normal. Chaos all around due to poor leadership in Washington D.C. The world streaming across our border without so much as a scolding. Terrorists killing Jews and the world being silent, on that, yet cheering on the terrorists. Again grocery prices tripling, gas doubling and good luck finding what you need on the shelves.

It's all good. This is "normal."

PK January 15, 2024, 4:24 pm Oh, come on, Val...Everything will get back to "normal" after tonight?? This year will be full of mudslinging and negativity. The Republicans seem to forget that BIDEN and HARRIS are their targets...not each other. Heaven knows the two in the White House give them so much ammunition to use.

After all the put-downs little ol' Nikki threw DeSantis's way, she can go fly a kite somewhere. [I won't be unkind and suggest where.] It is not time for her to put this country on the right path. She can't do it!! One day she believes this, and then she flip-flops. [Doesn't this remind you of what's in the White House now?]

My saddest thought about this election is still that it will probably be Biden and Trump AGAIN!!
HANG ON, VAL!!!
GB January 15, 2024, 11:05 pm Good read Val. Thank you.
