Opinion : Sound Bites: Biden's Pants are on Fire

The White House press room has been somewhat entertaining to watch. The only thing missing was the popcorn when this question came up.

"The president has lied about being at Ground Zero the day after the Sept. 11 attacks, falsely claimed he saw the Pittsburgh bridge collapse, claimed his grandfather died in the hospital days before his birth. What is going on with the president? Is he just believing things that didn't happen did happen, or is he just randomly making stuff up?" During Wednesday's White House press briefing Jeff Mordock, a Washington Times reporter, asked this question to John Kirby the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council.

I think I heard the band strike up the music as Kirby started dancing around the issue. He didn't answer WHY Biden made these stories up but he did a great job of not stepping on Biden's feet as he answered.

If you missed it, President Biden, who is now 80, described in great detail what didn't happen when he didn't visit Ground Zero the day after the attacks. He talked about about his visit, in great detail. to military members in Anchorage, Alaska during his September 11th visit. I don't know, maybe he actually thought that Alaska was where Ground Zero was or something. Who knows.

Here are Biden's touching words about the visit he didn't make. "Ground Zero in New York - I remember standing there the next day and looking at the building. And I felt like I was looking through the gates of hell."

To quote Biden himself, "C'mon man." This is elder abuse. Either his wife or family want him in this position as commander in chief or someone behind the scenes, like in the movie, "Dave" is running the show.

Which is it?

I expect that at any moment Biden's pants are going to catch on fire, at least if there is an open flame nearby. He was at a climate summit of some sort where they talked about emissions and Biden just added to the discussion.

It might have just been gas, but even the Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles couldn't stop talking about his lengthy fart.

Sigh.

That's where we're at folks. We have a president who isn't in touch with reality and farts in front of the queen.

I mean FINALLY the press is saying, "He's too old to run again." Actually, he was too old to run last time. He couldn't come out of the basement to campaign last time, yet, somehow, he won in a landslide. That's never happened before for anyone who didn't campaign.

But what do I know?

It's so bad that when he was speaking in Vietnam he made an attempt at a joke about the "song" "Good Morning Vietnam" and his handlers actually cut off his time of speaking with the press. Then they cut his microphone off and played cocktail hour music. If it weren't sad, it would make a great comedy sketch. To watch that, click HERE.

Vice President Kamala Harris isn't going to play the 25th Amendment card on Biden. Remember when every other day during President Trump's presidency he had calls for Pence to do that because Trump was supposedly so bonkers? Well, look at Joe folks. A guy who actually is, yet no one will admit it.

I think the democrats have a couple options here. They could put him up for election again, vote him in and THEN put him out of office and put Kamala in for the remainder of the term and hope for eight more out of her after that. This would give them the first woman and black woman at that to be in office, then they could brag that they did both before Republicans did.

OR they will put someone else in there at the last minute to run.

OR they could switch his running mate to someone else who would then invoke the 25th next term

Why they wouldn't use Robert Kennedy Jr. is beyond me. Well, not really. He seems like a sane candidate who isn't so far off in left field that I bet he could win some moderate Republicans as well. But he's being shut out of the option to run. The White House has even refused Secret Service protection for him, which is unheard of.

It's already been said that Biden is the candidate on the Democrat side, so we'll see. The media has turned on him, so something is up. The mainstream media has gotten the memo that Biden will be out one way or the other.

But who do Democrats have warming up?

I'm not good at predicting this stuff. I just know that we're in deep doo doo in so many directions. At this point anyone that just has the mental acuity to lead would be good.

Honestly, at this point, I'd be glad for someone in charge who I know will be able to respond quickly in case our country needed him to, and it appears that poor President Biden isn't that person.

It's sad to see really. Embarrassing yes, but sad. If we're all honest, we know what's going on and most of us have dealt with it in our own families. At the same time, we knew when to take the keys away. We knew not to put our loved ones on a worldwide stage knowing that they will embarrass themselves.

Ultimately, the family should be stepping in, but it appears that they won't be any time soon. In this sense, I do feel bad for President Biden. No one should be put in the position he's in. Just as a person, never mind the office.

Update: Yesterday Biden claimed to have taught for four years at a college, which of course he didn't. Sigh.
