Ehlinger's Express made a huge investment on behalf of the community. In a statement, the business said that they made a $300,000 investment on behalf of its customers, and the citizens of Vinton and Benton County. On March 27th Ehlinger's began demolition of the car wash bays, removing the gas pumps and had those shut down for around a week.
The pumps have the latest technology and security features and expanded their fuel offerings to include E15 in support of Iowa's Ag industry. A second diesel pump will also be added.
When the fuel facility reopened Ehlinger's was no longer a Phillips "66" station but is now with BP. They are now offering E10, E15 (both with ethanol), BP Ultimate (ethanol free) and Diesel fuel.
There are plans to hold a grand reopening celebration in May, keep an eye on the progress when you stop in for a snack.
