Allen Douglas Currier was born on March 4, 1980 in Sigourney, Iowa to Janet Adams Currier and Douglas Currier. He passed on May 14, 2024 at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City of a sudden illness.Allen was a gifted writer and an avid reader. He was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Cubs and especially the Chicago Bears. He loved watching Bears games with his nephews.

Richard “Dick” Duffy, age 85, of Carroll, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the St. Anthony Regional Hospital of Carroll, Iowa.A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the St. Martin Catholic Church of Odebolt, Iowa. Father Timothy Schott will officiate. Committal services will follow in the St. David John Kessens
David John Kessens was born January 18, 1947, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Sara Pauline (Mealhow) Kessens. He graduated from Don-Bosco High School in 1965. Dave was united in marriage to Julie Delagardelle on December 30, 1967, in Gilbertville. He has lived in LaPorte City, Urbana, and when he retired they moved to rural Unionville, Missouri.

We are sad to announce the passing of Kevin Leroy Squires, age 64, of Cedar Rapids, IA. Kevin died in his home of a heart attack, on April 25, 2024.Born on March 15, 1960, in Kirksville, MO, he was a graduate of Benton Community High School, Van Horne, Iowa, class of 1979. Kevin was a proud military Army veteran, he served in the tank division at Fort Campbell, KY. John Morris Beck Jr.
John Morris Beck Jr., 67, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away May 9, 2024 at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, IA. John was born February 23, 1957 to John Sr. and Esther Beck in Marengo, IA. He attended Belle Plaine High School. Following school, John traveled to rodeos throughout the country for a couple years, bareback bronc riding. He eventually followed in his father’s footsteps as a maintainer operator for Benton County Secondary Roads.

Galeon Edward Huebbe, 64, of Urbana, died Monday May 6, 2024, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy after a long battle with Leukemia. Galeon's wishes were cremation with no services. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Galeon was born on April 7, 1960, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the son of Duane and Ruth (Gradert) Huebbe. Rod Osborne O’Brien
Rod Osborne O’Brien, 52, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, in Van Horne, IA.The youngest of three siblings, he was born on March 1, 1972, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Daniel and Mary O’Brien. He proudly graduated in 1990 from Benton Community High School and in 1994 from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, with a Professional Golf Management degree.
