Beverly Lillian Mumm, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at West Ridge Care Center.Floyd Everett Mumm, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital.Services for both Bev and Floyd will be held at Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation at 3 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2024, by Steve Ross. Joshua Alan Breja, 43, of Luzerne, IA passed away May 1, 2024 surrounded by family at his home; following a courageous battle with colon cancer. Josh was born on Aug 19, 1980 to David and Mary (Parr) Breja in Cedar Rapids, IA. At the age of 2 he moved with his family from Brandon to Elberon and later to Keystone, where he graduated from Benton Community High School, class of 1998.

Mildred “Milly” Mae Schriner

Mildred “Milly” Mae Schriner, 86, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away May 1, 2024 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care, Belle Plaine, IA. Milly was born in Keyston, IA, January 18, 1938 the daughter of John Henry Peters and Mabel (Lanum) Peters. She grew up in Belle Plaine, attending Belle Plaine High School. Following school Milly married Nathan Rupp, to this union five children were born.

Timothy Michael Gaffey

Timothy Michael Gaffey was born July 13, 1960, in Illinois, the son of Thomas Francis and Irene (Horwath) Gaffey. The family moved from Libertyville, IL to Holbrook, IA where Tom was raised. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Holbrook where he took First Communion and was Confirmed. He attended Parnell and Williamsburg Schools. Tim worked on the family farm and later at Holden’s Foundation Seeds in Williamsburg for 10 years.

   Mariann Louise Stanek Tecklenburg Kerkman passed away peacefully Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Meadow View Assisted Living, Cedar Rapids. A celebration of her life will be held at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine, Iowa, on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Keystone Cemetery, Keystone, IA.      Mariann was born December 8,1928 on a farm south of Chelse, IA, to Sylvia and Edward Stanek.

Sandra Kay Cox

Sandra Kay Cox was born on October 15, 1952 in Vinton, Iowa, to Eugene and Ima Jean Powers. She passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 71. Sandra cherished spending time with family and friends; she was never too busy or tired for those whom she loved. She was gifted with an exceptional ability to empathize with others, and even new acquaintances were treated like family, receiving warm expressions of her kindness and generosity.

Iola, daughter of Albert C. and Matilda (Kahle) Schulte, was born on April 22, 1930 and grew up on her family’s farm in Norway, Iowa with her 5 siblings: Emily, Genevieve, Marilyn, Albert J, and James. She met the love of her life, Dennis James Light, while in elementary school, was voted Norway's Sweet Corn Queen in the summer of 1947, and graduated from Norway High School in 1948.

Donald “Gene” Eugene Vandivier

Donald “Gene” Eugene Vandivier, 89, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away April 14, 2024 at his home. Gene was born on November 11, 1934, to Willis and Mary (Gordon) Vandivier in Belle Plaine. He attended Belle Plaine High School. Enlisting into the U.S. Navy at a young age, Gene spent over 20 years proudly serving his country before retiring in 1972.

Byron and Sharon (Williams) Holst

Please join us for a memorial service to celebrate the lives of Byron and Sharon (Williams) Holst. We will gather together on May 18, 2024 at 10:00 am at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine, Iowa to honor their memory. A luncheon will be served at Turner Hall in Keystone following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the South Benton County Food Pantry in Belle Plaine, Iowa.
