Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday on site.
Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.
Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, January 12th, will be Roast Turkey, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Broccoli, Mixed Green Salad, Blushing Pears, Cake, WW Bread, Milk.
On Monday, November 4th, games of Pepper Cards were played. After the games, refreshments were served by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
On Tuesday, November 5th, the afternoon activity was Surprise Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. Hazel Eastwood handpicked the games. Game one was a 9-Pack with Hazel Eastwood winning a hat. Game two was Wild Card Three Bingos and Pat Hopper won a free meal. Game three was Frame the Free Spot and Four Corners with Peggy Schott winning Lipton Tea. Game four was a Flag with George Eckhart winning candy. Leah Miller won aromatherapy on game five with a Blackout.
On Wednesday, November 6th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller and Norma Ellis handpicked the games. Game one was Wild Card Three Bingos with Elsie Knaack winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with Norma Ellis winning. Game three was Four Postage Stamps with George Eckhart winning. Game four was the Letter “T” with Greta Geiken as the winner. Greta Geiken won game five with Blackout.
On Thursday, November 7th, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Riggle and Roster Music.
On Friday, November 8th, games of 500 Cards were played. Irene Geiger won 1st place with 3,070 points. Bernadine Barr won 2nd place with 2,940 points. Leroy Weiser won 3rd place with 2,590 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP provided the beverages.
On Monday, November 11th, games of Pepper Cards were played. Bill Milne won 1st place with 226 points. Don Selken won 2nd place with 193 points. Hazel Eastwood won 3rd place with 186 points. After the games, other refreshments were provided by card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
On Tuesday, November 12th, we welcomed the Vinton American Legion Auxiliary as our guests. We celebrated all the November birthdays. Stuart Gulick provided the afternoon musical entertainment.
On Wednesday, November 13th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Delane Kalina handpicked the games. Game one was a 9-Pack with Sherri Baldwin winning. Game two was a Baseball with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game three was a Postage Stamp with Jack Oliphant and Greta Geiken as the winners. Game four was a Picnic Table with Jack Oliphant as the winner. Jack Oliphant won game five with Blackout.
On Thursday, November 14th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Hazel Eastwood handpicked the games. Game one was Top Two Lines with MayBeth Graham winning. Game two a 9-Pack with Faye Goodell winning. Game three was a Wild Card Three Bingos with Jack Oliphant as the winner. Game four was Stair Steps with Faye Goodell as the winner. Greta Geiken won game five with Blackout.
On Friday, November 15th, games of 500 played. Bill Milne won 1st place with 3,230 points. Nancy Wiese and Milo Cobb tied for second place with 2,960 points. Joe Geiger donated five decks of cards. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
