Writing Essentials, Novel Ideas that go into Writing a book Class Series
Join Jean Wilson (writing as J L Wilson) to discover the steps that go into crafting a novel. J L has 40 books in print and can give you an idea of the who, what, where, and how of publishing. Join her in one or all of these workshops, each 60-90 minutes long:*Saturday, March 15th, 2025 @ 9am: Class 1Gives you the basic tools of the trade: what goes into a novel, how to determine point of view, your author voice, software to use - the nitty-gritty.

KIWANIS ANNUAL PANCAKE FUNDRAISER SATURDAY, MARCH 1 SERVING 7:00-11:30AM
The Kiwanis Annual Pancake Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 1 serving from 7:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School cafeteria. Do you know a child that loves to write or draw stories?! Vinton Public Library is hosting a Kid Author Event! Local children are encouraged to write their own story and have a meet and greet with the public. Children will come to the event, share their story, sign autographs, and can have a chance to read their story aloud. Kid Author Guidelines: 3 Age Categories -Kindergarten-2nd -Grade -3rd-5th Grade -6th-12th Grade Stories can be handwritten or typed Must not exceed more than 20 pages 10,000 word limit Must be on 8.
