Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday on site.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, March 30th, will be Roast Turkey, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Broccoli, Mixed Green Salad, Blushing Pears, Cake, WW Bread, Milk.

On Monday, February 10th, games of Pepper Cards were played. Bud Barr took 1st place with 292 points. Hazel Eastwood took 2nd place with 246 points. Don Selken won 3rd place with 243 points. After the card games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP furnished the beverages.

On Tuesday, February 11th, we celebrated all the February Birthdays. Those honored were Lois Romman and Carroll Hilmer. Lois was the door prize winner.

On Wednesday, February 12th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. The games were handpicked by Elsie Knaack. Game one was Frame the Free Spot and Four Corners with Elsie Knaack winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with Oma Geiger winning. Game three was Wild Card Three Bingos with Norma Ellis winning. Game four was Stair Steps with Elsie Knaack as the winner. Oma Geiger won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, February 14th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. Leroy Weise won 1st place. Geri Shaffer won 2nd place. Esther Novotny won 3rd place. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. Esther Novotny brought cookies to share. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, February 18th, the afternoon activity was 10 Cent Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. Game one was One Straight Bingo with Marion Isbell winning. Game two was Frame the Card with Marion Isbell winning. Game three was the Letter “X” with JoAnn Roster winning. Game four was Las Vegas with Hazel Eastwood and JoAnn Roster winning. Game five was a Blackout with Marion Isbell and JoAnn Roster winning.

On Wednesday, February 19th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Norma Ellis was the volunteer caller. Ruth Wieditz handpicked the games. Game one was BNO with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game two was I G with Lorraine Fix, Hazel Eastwood, and JoAnn Roster as the winners. Game three was Four Postage Stamps with Ruth Wieditz and Lorraine Fix winning. Game four was Wild Number Three Bingos with Oma Geiger and Don Dell winning. JoAnn Roster won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, February 20th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The volunteer caller was Vickie Holst. The games were handpicked by JoAnn Roster. Game one was Frame the Card and Four Corners with Elsie Knaack winning. Game two was the Letter “L” with Delane Kalina winning. Game three was the Letter “W” with George Eckhart winning. Game four was Wild Number Three Bingos with George Eckhart winning. Elsie Knaack won game five with Blackout.

On Friday, February 21st, games of 500 cards were played. Margaret Fuehrer won 1st place with 2,250 points. Merle Roth won 2nd place with 1,890 points. Third place went to Don Selken with 1,860 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP provided the beverages.
