Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday on site.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, April 13th, will be Roast Turkey, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Broccoli, Mixed Green Salad, Blushing Pears, Cake, WW Bread, Milk.

On Monday, February 24th, games of Pepper Cards were played. Patty McKenna took 1st place with 195 points. Bernadine Barr took 2nd place with 188 points. Don Selken won 3rd place with 177 points. After the card games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP furnished the beverages.

On Tuesday, February 25th, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Bob Hauser.

On Wednesday, February 26th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Linda Lough was the volunteer caller and handpicked the games. Game one was the Letter “I” with George Eckhart winning. Elsie Knaack and Oma Geiger won game two. Game three was a Layer Cake with Irene Geiger winning. Elsie Knaack was the winner of game four and Elsie won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, February 28th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. Don Selken won 1st place with 3,160 points. Leroy Weise won 2nd place with 3,100 points. Darlene Peters won 3rd place with 3,050 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Monday, March 3rd, games of Pepper were played. Merle Roth won 1st place with 260 points. Don Selken won 2nd place with 238 points. Lynn Selk took 3rd place with 231 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. LaVonne Henkle brought brownies to share. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, March 4th, the afternoon activity was Surprise Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. Marion Isbell handpicked the games. Game one was Wild Card Three Bingos with Nancy Weise winning a bag of candy. Game two was a Telephone Pole with Keith Weise winning a bag of candy. Game three was a 9-Pack with Ruth Wieditz winning a bag of candy. Game four was Frame the Free Spot and Four Corners with Elsie Knaack winning a meal ticket. Norma Ellis won a bag of candy on game five with a Blackout.

On Wednesday, March 5th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Geri Shaffer handpicked the games. Game one was Wild Card Three Bingos with Lorraine Fox winning. Game two was Stair Steps with Oma Geiger as the winner. Game three was a Baseball with George Eckhart winning. Game four was a Crazy “T” with Elsie Knaack winning. George Eckhart and Geri Shaffer won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, March 6th, Larry Holst provided the afternoon musical entertainment.

On Friday, March 7th, games of 500 cards were played. Don Selken won 1st place with 3,570 points. Leroy Weise won 2nd place with 3,210 points. Third place went to Wilma Loutsch with 2,990 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP provided the beverages.
