Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through

Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday
on site.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for
individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse
(regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals
who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for
their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the
suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are
available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana,
and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is
$3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age
60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered
meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid
supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County.
Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered
Meal. For more information about services, please call
319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or
more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th
St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward
the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to
celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always
scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone
having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged
to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they
would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday
celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday
Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We
currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month.
The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars
generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a
gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal.
Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by
calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00
AM on the day of the celebration.

FREE SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM AVAILABLE DAILY FOR EVERYONE WHO
EATS A MEAL AT THE SITE DURING MEAL SERVICE TIMES.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, May 25th, will be
Baked Glazed Ham, Baked Potatoes Half, Green Beans,
Pineapple, Cake, WW Bread, Milk.

On Monday, March 24th, games of Pepper Cards were played.
Leroy Weiser took 1st place with 274 points. LaVonne
Henkle took 2nd place with 261 points. Merle Roth won 3rd
place with 257 points. After the card games, refreshments
were provided by the Card Club. HACAP furnished the
beverages.

On Tuesday, March 25th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent
Bingo.

On Wednesday, March 26th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller.
Marion Isbell handpicked the games. Game one was Wild
Number Three Bingos with Lorraine Fix winning. Game two
was a 9-Pack with Lorraine Fix winning. Game three was a
Baseball with Lorraine Fix as the winner. Game four was a
Crazy “T” with George Eckhart winning. Marion Isbell won
game five with a Blackout.

On Thursday, March 27th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Amanda Herron was the volunteer caller and
the games were handpicked by Oma Gieger. Game one was
Stair Steps with JoAnn Roster winning. Game two was a
Baseball with Elise Knaack winning. Game three was a
Postage Stamp with Elsie Knaack winning. Game four was a
Goal Post with JoAnn Roster as the winner. George Eckhart
won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, March 28th, the afternoon activity was a 500
Card Party. Geri Shaffer won 1st place with 3,530 points.
Merle Roths won 2nd place with 3,390 points. Milo Cobb
won 3rd place with 3,000 points. After the games,
refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided
the beverages.

On Monday, March 31st, games of Pepper were played.
Bernadine Barr won 1st place with 306 points. Don Selk
won 2nd place with 294 points. Lois Romman won 3rd place
with 268 points. After the games, refreshments were
served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, April 1st, the afternoon activity was Surprise
Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. JoAnn
Roster handpicked the games. Game one was a Layer Cake
with Ruth Wieditz winning popcorn. Game two was Frame the
Card with Viola Catrent winning a meal ticket. Game three
was Wild Number Three Bingos with George Eckhart winning
popcorn. Game four was Four Corners and Frame the Free
Spot with Greta Geiken winning popcorn. Elsie Knaack won
popcorn on game five with a Blackout.

On Wednesday, April 2nd, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller.
Mae Wilhelmi handpicked the games. Game one was Two Hard
Way Bingos with Lorraine Fix winning. Game two was a
9-Pack with Marion Isbell as the winner. Game three was
Wild Number Three Bingos with Elsie Knaack winning. Game
four was the Letter “X” with Greta Geiken winning. Hazel
Eastwood won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, April 3rd, the musical entertainment was
provided by Barb Riggle.

On Friday, April 4th, there were games of 500 cards
played. Merle Roths won 1st place with 2,770 points.
Irene Geiger won 2nd place with 2,660 points. Third
place went to Marlys Finzen with 2,480 points. After the
games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP
provided the beverages.

HACAP's 4th Street Diner is for EVERYONE! The suggested contribution is $3.25 for individuals age 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age). The cost to individuals who are younger than 60 is $4.25. Unfortunately Home Delivered Meals are not available for Evening Meals, but carryout meals are

available during every scheduled meal; please call 472-4761 to place your order.
