Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through
Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday
on site.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for
individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse
(regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals
who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for
their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the
suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are
available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana,
and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is
$3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age
60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered
meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid
supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County.
Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered
Meal. For more information about services, please call
319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or
more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th
St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward
the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to
celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always
scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone
having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged
to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they
would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday
celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday
Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We
currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month.
The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars
generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a
gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal.
Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by
calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00
AM on the day of the celebration.

FREE SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM AVAILABLE DAILY FOR EVERYONE WHO
EATS A MEAL AT THE SITE DURING MEAL SERVICE TIMES.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, June 29th, will be
Roast Turkey, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Broccoli, Mixed Green
Salad, Blushing Pears, Cake, WW Bread, Milk.

On Monday, April 21st, games of Pepper Cards were played.
Leroy Weiser took 1st place with 314 points. Esther
Novotny took 2nd place with 303 points. LaVonne Henkle won
3rd place with 276 points.. After the card games,
refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP
furnished the beverages.

On Tuesday, April 22nd, the afternoon musical
entertainment was provided by Bob Hauser.

On Wednesday, April 23rd, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller.
Game one was the Letter “A” with Hazel Eastwood winning.
Game two was Las Vegas Wild Numbers with Geri Shaffer
winning. Game three was the Letter “L” with Mae Wilhelmi
as the winner. Game four was a Tulip with Greta Geiken
winning. Greta Geiken won game five with a Blackout.

On Thursday, April 24th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller.
Game one was a Goal Post with Ruth Wieditz winning. Game
two was a 9-Pack with Irene Geiger winning. Game three was
a Postage Stamp with Greta Geiken winning. Game four was
Wild Number Three Bingos with Greta Geiken as the winner.
Viola Calvert won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, April 25th, the afternoon activity was a 500
Card Party. After the games, refreshments were served by
the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Monday, April 28th, games of Pepper were played. Merle
Roths won 1st place with 224 points. Greta Geiken won 2nd
place with 219 points. Bud Barr won 3rd place with 209
points. After the games, refreshments were served by the
card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, April 29th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent
Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. George
Eckhart handpicked the games. Game one was a Goal Post
with Elsie Knaack winning. Game two was a Stair Case with
George Eckhart winning. Game three was Wild Number Three
Bingos with Ruth Wieditz as the winner. Game four was a
9-Pack with Elsie Knaack winning. Elsie Knaack won game
five with a Blackout.

On Wednesday, April 30th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller.
Mae Wilhelmi handpicked the games. Game one was Frame the
Card with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game two was a 9-Pack
with Elsie Knaack as the winner. Game three was Wild
Number Three Bingos with Ruth Wieditz winning. Game four
was the Letter “X” with George Eckhart winning. Mae
Wilhelmi, George Eckhart, and Orville Ellingson all won
game five with a Blackout.

On Thursday, May 1st, the afternoon musical entertainment
was provided by Riggle Roster Music.

On Friday, May 2nd, there were games of 500 cards played.
Don Selken won 1st place with 3,310 points. Keith Wiese
won 2nd place with 2,930 points. Third place went to
Wilma Loutsch with 2,700 points. After the games,
refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP
provided the beverages.
