Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday on site.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, August 24th will be Roast Pork, Mashed Potato/Gravy, Spinach, Peaches, Cake, WW Bread, Milk.

On Tuesday, June 3rd, the afternoon activity was Surprise Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. Geri Shaffer handpicked the games. Game one was Wild Number Three Bingos with JoAnn Roster winning chapsticks. Game two was a 9-Pack with Hazel Eastwood winning coffee. Game three was a Baseball with Geri Shaffer winning slippers. Game four was Stair Steps with Elsie Knaack winning candy. Wanda McNitt won a meal ticket game five with Blackout.

On Wednesday, June 4th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Mae Wilhelmi handpicked the games. Game one was the Letter “M” with Don Dill winning. Game two was a 9-pack with Viola Calvert winning. Game three was a Wild Number Three Bingos with Greta Geiken and Viola Calvert as the winners. Game four was the Letter “J” with Viola Calvert winning. Norma Ellis won game five with a Blackout.

On Thursday, June 5th, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Judy Mehlert.

On Friday, June 6th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. Margaret Fuehrer won 1st place with 3,850 points. Merle Roths won 2nd place with 3,600 points. Bernadine Barr took 3rd place with 3,550 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Monday, June 9th, the afternoon activity was Pepper Cards. Bernadine Barr won first place with 318 points. Second place went to Geri Shaffer with 283 points. Don Selken won third place with 279 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, June 10th, we celebrated all the June birthdays. The afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Stuart Gulick Music.

On Wednesday, June 11th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Heather Bridge was the volunteer caller. Marion Isbell handpicked the games. Game one was Wild Number Three Bingos with George Eckhart and Ruth Wieditz winning. Game two as a 9-Pack with Elsie Knaack winning. Game three was the Letter “X” with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game four was Four Postage Stamps with Marion Isbell winning. Norma Ellis won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, June 12th, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Riggle/Roster Music.

On Friday, June 13th, there were four tables of 500 cards played. Wilma Loutsch 1st place with 2,430 points. Margaret Fuehrer won second place with 2,180 points. Third place went to Bill Milne with 2,060 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. Bill Milne brought ice cream bars to share for his birthday. HACAP provided the beverages.
